Hi, Chloe here. I’m rejoining the Walkgrove crew after an 18-month break to work on some other cool stuff, including producing this podcast of real-life stories about toxic relationships by young women who stepped up to support their friends. Enjoy our New Year blog!

Are you in a post-festive slump? Are you slouching unwillingly into January, staring listlessly at the dreary weather? We feel you your pain.

Take five minutes to distract yourself from the winter blues with Walkgrove’s 2022 Greatest Hits: our top achievements of the year, ranked!

#10 We onboarded some fish

In 2022 we welcomed 10 new team members into a high-tech Walkgrove office aquarium. They haven’t demonstrated much knowledge about e-learning yet, but have been providing value in the form of ultra-zen vibes.

#9 We reached a digital milestone

Since 1994, Walkgrove has delivered hundreds of e-learning development and blended learning projects. Our case study library is a public record of our extensive experience in digital and blended learning. In 2022, we proudly published our 300th case study.

#8 We expanded our learning suite

Walkgrove’s “off the shelf” e-learning suite on essential training topics grew further in 2022. We will soon be offering a range of environmental sustainability courses.

#7 We got together more

We are no strangers to digital working and have a strong remote team, but the pandemic highlighted to us the importance of in-person “togetherness”. In 2022 Walkgrove introduced dedicated office days every quarter, to help us stay connected and eat pizza …

#6 We increased our revenues

In the last two years, more people realised that remote learning can be cost-saving, effective and environmentally friendly. Walkgrove was delighted to work with many new and existing clients in 2022, and we grew both our turnover and profitability.

#5 We delivered in the classroom

Did you know Walkgrove’s award-winning learning solutions include classroom training? In 2022 we enjoyed working on more in-person training projects, with tech consultants Sopra Steria and renowned training certifiers Axelos.

#4 We grew our team

In 2022 Walkgrove team welcomed fresh faces to serve our growing client base, including new Instructional Designers Beth, Izzy and Jen. We also started looking ahead to grow our Project Management and Sales teams in 2023.

#3 We supported creatives

In 2022 Walkgrove again supported Nottingham’s Young Creatives, a charity investing in the next generation of writers, designers and other creatives. From judging competitions to watching talent shows and commissioning art, the team loved our partnership!

#2 We welcomed stellar new clients

As well as winning 70% repeat business, in 2022 we secured brilliant and eclectic new clients, including Norwegian research institute CMI, mega-astronomy project SKA Observatory, and mobility specialists Bikeability and Motability.

#1 We powered up with Semcon

In 2022 we combined forces with new partners Semcon. We merged IT and finance, shared mutual interests in ethical practice, and exchanged skills with new colleagues in Sweden, Warwick and Budapest. Discover more about Semcon.
