Providing learning any time, any place, anywhere
The proliferation of mobile devices in the workplace presents new and exciting opportunities to include these devices as a part of your learning delivery blend.
Deploying your content to mobiles can provide:
- Genuine anytime, anywhere learning
- Quick, just-in-time or on-the job access to learning content and reference guides
- Wider reach by providing your content in a more accessible and bite-size format
- Access for learners who may only have smartphone connectivity
This is an HTML5 output that is scalable, meaning that content viewed on a small screen is identical to that viewed on a large screen, only smaller, like the example shown here.
Although not responsive, a scalable solution like this can be accessed and works well on mobile devices with larger screens, such as tablets and many of the more modern mobile phones which have larger, high-resolution screens.
From a design perspective, creating a scalable solution like this means we need to ensure that all content can be read and used on the smaller screen.
Mobile first, responsive content
The principal benefit of a responsive solution is that it is designed specifically for multi-device access, meaning that it functions equally well on PCs, laptops, tablets or smartphones, like most modern websites.
We use a responsive development framework to create an output that responds and reformats the content dynamically so that it displays in the most effective way, depending on the device/screen size, like the example shown here.
However, the use of a responsive framework does have limitations from a design perspective, which means that it is not possible to create such a rich and sophisticated solution as one developed using Articulate Storyline 360.

Development tools
We do not ‘impose’ any particular style of delivery, tool or technology when we design our e-learning. We are able to offer a range of development options and we work with you to select an approach and tools that are most appropriate to your specific requirements – both technical and those of the target audience and their preferred platforms and devices.
We can develop e-learning using all the widely used technologies, protocols and development tools, including popular proprietary applications such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, and Lectora, and we use tools like Adapt, Gomo, Evolve, Articulate Rise or our own custom HTML5 framework to build highly interactive, responsive content for multi-device delivery.
In terms of media, we routinely develop content incorporating professionally produced audio, video, infographics, animation, 3D modelling and other rich media assets. Many of our clients also require translation and localisation into multiple languages.
