Walkgrove created two inspiring and media-rich courses to train travel professionals as Trafalgar Travel experts, developing their brand knowledge and conversion skills to improve their holiday sales. 

The training need 

Trafalgar Travel is the most globally awarded guided travel company.

Trafalgar commissioned Walkgrove to create a custom e-learning course for travel professionals so they had the tools to sell more Trafalgar holidays with ease.

The company needed a course that would improve professionals’ knowledge of the company’s brand and unique customer proposition, excite them about the trips on offer and support them with the skills to convert more potential sales into happy Trafalgar customers.

Our bespoke learning solution

Walkgrove created “The Trafalgar Academy”, two bespoke e-learning courses for travel agents and travel professionals to immerse them in the Trafalgar brand and fine-tune their holiday selling skills.

The first 15-minute course is designed to enthuse and educate learners about the company, its approach to holidays and what sets its trips apart from those of other operators.

Through an exploratory and interactive learning process, travel professionals can discover the company’s values and the highlights of travelling with Trafalgar.

To add real-life context and fun, the course is themed around a Trafalgar Travel trip to Italy, spotlighting a case study of a satisfied guest. The course is designed to be a visual experience that would delight and inspire learners. It features dynamic illustrated animations showcasing Trafalgar’s history, sumptuous photography of Trafalgar destinations and video footage of customers enjoying Trafalgar holidays.

The second 30-minute course equips learners to follow the Trafalgar sales process, including how to identify customer needs and signals, communication skills and how to close a sale. In addition to bespoke animations and conceptual illustrations, the course uses case study-based quiz questions and interactive scenarios that challenge learners to implement Trafalgar’s best practice sales techniques.
