Everyone Counts – the equality act in action
Features
- E-learning
- Story/scenario driven

Aimed at all staff in the Skills Funding Agency and the Young People’s Learning Agency, this program uses stories to place learners into realistic, thought-provoking situations where they are required to interpret circumstances and events and then make appropriate decisions.
The learner is required to consider the scenarios presented and recognise inappropriate behaviour, identify possible consequences of the behaviour, and suggest appropriate responses or courses of action.
At each turn in the story, the learner is asked to interpret the situation presented, and interact with the program in order to demonstrate their perception and understanding. A key aspect of the scenarios is that they portray scenarios that don’t always have a right and wrong answer and where judgement and the ability to read a situation are important behaviours.
Underpinning knowledge relating to legislation and corporate policies is included at key points during the unfolding of the scenarios. This approach provides maximum learner engagement while fixing the subject matter within the context of the learner’s own work environment.
The program is deployed online and usage is tracked and monitored via a bespoke database designed and hosted by Walkgrove.
