The training need
Keyteach specialises in the design and delivery of training to financial professionals. Operating globally, they provide blended learning solutions for Oracle Hyperion EPM, BI and Fusion Financial as well as other applications, systems and processes.
Keyteach had a requirement for digital training covering the principles of foreign exchange for QBE Insurance Group (QBE), one of the world’s top insurance and reinsurance companies. Walkgrove was commissioned to design this module as an engaging e-learning solution for QBE employees who were in financial or accounting roles.
Our bespoke learning solution
Walkgrove delivered a highly interactive, 70-minute bespoke e-learning introduction to the technical world of foreign exchange. Topics cover the basics of foreign exchange and how foreign exchange accounting works at QBE, key relevant features of accounting standards and the QBE strategy with regards to foreign exchange risk. It concludes with a short formal assessment.
The mobile friendly modules were designed to produce an enjoyable learning experience and one that was easy to use and follow. Using bold typographical statements, diagrams or iconography, key points are highlighted on screen while a friendly audio narrator explains the core learning material. E-learning development included the production of full audio transcripts, which are provided to ensure all learners are able to access the salient learning points.
Modules included real-life examples to illustrate important concepts and frequent knowledge checks to help learners feel confident in their understanding. The resulting custom e-learning is easy to understand and to remember.
