Colourful introduction to a self-awareness tool
Features
- E-learning
- Blended
- Mobile first, responsive

Walkgrove created a flexible and fun introductory guide to a professional self-awareness tool.
The training need
Learning and people development company, Insights, commissioned Walkgrove to re-develop an introduction to their Discovery evaluation tool, which is designed to encourage individuals to fulfill their potential through developing self-awareness.
Having previously developed an introduction to Discovery for one of their clients, Insights asked Walkgrove to create a flexible introductory piece that could be used more broadly.
The e-learning needed to introduce the Discovery model and its potential benefits for individuals and their organisations. The target audience is current and potential clients, so all content needed to be entry-level and suitable for all industries. Insights wanted the introduction to have a globally accessible style and represent best-in-class learning design.
The e-learning needed to complement a workshop and other educational resources that Insights offer as part of their introduction to Discovery.
Our bespoke learning solution
Walkgrove created a 50-minute bespoke e-learning course to introduce the Discovery model of self-awareness. The course first presents the Discovery model’s four “Colour Energies” of individualised personality types and preferences. A second module introduces the personal profile feature of the Discovery tool, setting out its opportunities for individuals to identify their strengths and weaknesses.
To support the wider learning blend, the e-learning modules mirror the design and activities of the blended materials. The visual approach is playful and colourful, using an illustrated style to present concepts and characters in a manner consistent with the Insights brand.
To optimise access for all potential users, the custom e-learning course is fully responsive. The mobile-first design means activities and tutorial screens are elegantly presented on hand-held devices.
