Two-hour blended programme covering carbon management, delivered to 10,000 learners
Aimed at professionals in the sustainable homes and communities sector such as planners, engineers, developers, regeneration specialists, housing specialists, economists, environmental scientists and architects, this e-learning module forms an integral part of a blended solution comprising a one-day workshop, a site visit and access to other online materials, resources and reports.
The two-hour program, which was constructed using the rapid e-learning tool, Articulate, provides an introduction to climate change and comprises five modules:
- Introduction to carbon management
- Climate change science, peak oil and energy security
- Drivers of change
- Understanding energy and the carbon hierarchy
- Decision-making, partnership working, finance and developing solutions in projects
The overall aim of the blended solution is to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required for them to deliver effective leadership in carbon management within their own organisation.
Delivered via the Homes and Communities Agency’s VLE, the size of the target audience for this material is estimated to be over 10,000 learners.
