Walkgrove created a simple introductory course to help Carillion teams understand their responsibilities with regards to commercial insurance.
The training need
Carillion was an international company specialising in facilities management and construction services. The organisation identified that insurance claims could have a huge impact on the commercial success of projects. Carillion commissioned Walkgrove to create a simple bespoke e-learning course that would outline how relevant employees in the commercial jobs area of the business, in particular Quantity Surveyors, could minimise what the company had to pay out in insurance claims.
Our bespoke learning solution
Walkgrove created a 45-minute bespoke e-learning course to introduce Carillion learners to the scope of their commercial insurance responsibilities. The clearly-structured course sets out the five key Carillion commercial insurance policies and what they typically cover, offering links to further detail. Modules also explain the essential responsibilities of Quantity Surveyors with regards to insurance claims, including working with subcontractors and verifying their policies. To support learners with implementing best practice with regards to commercial insurance, the course includes a handy resources section and signposts learners to the key places for further information on policies and claim procedures.
The course is professionally presented and includes information separated into easily absorbed blocks. Each section includes regular self-test challenges to provoke interest and engagement. The custom e-learning finishes with a ten-question test, to check learners understanding of the module’s key information on commercial insurances practices.
