Walkgrove created an interactive e-learning module to refresh British Council compliance training on fraud and financial crime awareness.
The training need
The British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities and works in over 100 countries. The Council wanted to replace and refresh its mandatory e-learning course about anti-bribery measures by creating a new online course for its global team of employees that would include content about fraud awareness, preventing bribery and corruption, money laundering and counter-terrorist financing. Walkgrove was commissioned to develop a bespoke e-learning package about financial crime that would be a less text-heavy learning experience and focus more on the practical application of learning.
Our bespoke learning solution
Walkgrove created a 30-minute custom e-learning course on fraud awareness, which includes a series of concise modules about how learners can identify and prevent different forms of financial crime that might affect the British Council. The professional and modern design makes the learning experience feel light and easy to digest and the use of integrated example scenarios makes the content feel relatable. Learners are frequently challenged to address different realistic situations of possible financial crime in order to help them to apply prevention behaviour in their daily activities.
In keeping with the British Council’s global and inclusive brand, the e-learning development team used a fully accessible learning design, included non-stereotypical and diverse photographic representations of British Council staff and wrote in plain English throughout the modules.
