ACCA tendered for a supplier to help them create materials to guide trainees and workplace mentors through planning, obtaining and recording practical experience and Walkgrove won the contract.
Under the new PER, trainees have to:
- Demonstrate effectiveness and achievement in the workplace by meeting ACCA’s performance objectives, overseen and agreed by a workplace mentor
- Complete a minimum of three years’ relevant practical experience
- Track their progress through the Trainee Development Matrix (TDM) (the TDM is an online recording and reporting tool)
- Complete an annual return
To help them with this process, Walkgrove developed motivational, interactive and clear materials comprising:
- A practical experience guide for trainees
- A practical experience guide for workplace mentors
- E-learning versions of the PER guides
